Open the meal in your diary and tap Edit Meal. Under Portion Size, drag the slider across seven steps — ¼, ½, ¾, 1×, 2×, 4× and 8× of the analyzed portion. The preview updates live, and the change scales everything together: calories, protein, carbs, fat, every tracked nutrient, and any drink linked to the meal. Tap Save Changes when it looks right.
The portion is a multiplier of what the analysis measured — there are no gram fields to type into. If the real amount was different from what the analysis saw (say, 300 g instead of 200 g), that is a correction, not a portion change: use Fix it below and write it.
In Edit Meal, tap Analysis error? Fix it, describe what is wrong, and send it with Fix Analysis. The meal is analyzed again from scratch with your words taken as the truth. It understands, in any language:
Renaming the meal, adding an ingredient and changing one ingredient’s amount are all the same operation here: a logged meal has no name of its own — the name comes from the analysis — and there is no form to type an ingredient into the list or edit amounts one by one. You describe it, and the meal is analyzed again.
Two things to know before you send a correction:
Corrections are not captures: fixing a meal never spends your daily scans, on any plan.
Swipe the ingredient in the meal’s ingredient list and confirm Remove. This is instant math — its calories and nutrients are subtracted from the totals without re-analyzing anything, and your portion setting stays as it was. The last remaining ingredient can’t be removed; if the whole meal is wrong, correct it with Fix it or delete the entry.
When you scan a barcode, you choose how much you had before logging: How many servings? steps in quarters from a fraction of a serving up to 20, with the label’s serving size shown next to it. If the product doesn’t declare a serving size, PlateLens estimates a typical one for that product and asks How much of the package? instead. Once logged, a barcode meal behaves like any other: same portion slider, same Fix it.
When you re-log a saved or recent meal you can set the portion with a stepper before logging, or tap Customize this time and describe what changes — by text or voice — to log a one-time version. Whatever you do to a logged entry afterwards, the saved version stays unchanged: only that diary entry uses your edits.
