Customize your PlateLens Home

On mobile, Customize Home is one editor for the shortcuts shown At a glance and the health cards shown below your League card. Choose the daily signals you want close at hand, then arrange Blood Glucose, Movement, Hydration, Steps and Weight and decide when each card appears.

Open Home customization

Mobile app

Choose Customize Home at the bottom of Home, or open More → Preferences → Customize Home. Both paths open the same editor.

Web app

Use Customize beside Your day at a glance to choose daily gauges. To arrange health cards, choose Customize Home at the bottom of Today or open Settings → Home.

Customize everything together on mobile

  1. Under At a glance, choose Edit to select and reorder the shortcuts shown near the top of Home.
  2. Under Health cards, drag cards into your preferred order or use the accessible move controls, then choose the visibility setting for each card.
  3. Tap the fixed Done action at the top to commit both sections together. Closing the shortcut selector changes only the draft; nothing is saved to your account until you tap Done.

If you try to leave with unsaved changes, PlateLens lets you return to the editor or discard the draft. The compact Leagues section and PlateLens's fixed nutrition and fasting surfaces are not health cards and stay in their established places.

Customize on the web

The web app presents the same account settings in two focused editors. Your day at a glance edits the shared daily gauges. Settings → Home edits health-card order and visibility; choose Save Home to commit that card draft. Changes made on mobile or web appear in the other signed-in sessions for the same account.

Automatic, Always show and Hide

Automatic

PlateLens uses that card's product rule. Its saved position does not change when it appears or disappears.

Always show

The card stays on Home even without a current reading or activity, keeping its relevant entry point available. PlateLens represents missing information honestly rather than inventing a measurement.

Hide

The card is removed only from Home. Hiding never deletes records, changes a health permission, stops import or export, or removes the feature from the global + menu, Diary, History, reports or the AI Coach.

What Automatic means for each card

Stable order: an automatically hidden card does not rewrite your list. If it later becomes relevant, it returns to the exact position you chose.

After you log something

After you log a meal, PlateLens normally returns to the fixed Nutrition card. Exercise, weight, blood glucose and hydration entries return to their corresponding Home card and highlight it. If you explicitly hid that health card, the save still succeeds and PlateLens confirms it on the feature's Diary or History surface instead of trying to scroll to an element you chose not to show. The original record remains available everywhere it normally appears.

Mobile, web and Apple Watch

Health-card order and visibility belong to your PlateLens account, so mobile and web use the same choices. On the web, Steps has its own card and can be ordered independently from Movement just as it can on mobile.

The At-a-glance shortcut list is also an account setting. Its selected signals and order are used by the daily gauges near the top of mobile Home and web Today, and they feed the selected gauges on Apple Watch Home. Apple Watch does not have the health-card editor: hiding or moving a mobile or web health card does not hide or reorder Watch features. Health imports and permissions continue to be controlled by Apple Health or Health Connect on the phone.

Restore PlateLens defaults

On mobile, choose Restore Home Defaults to put both At-a-glance shortcuts and health cards back to their recommended settings in the current draft. Review the result, then tap Done to commit it. Leaving without tapping Done does not apply the restored draft.

On the web, Reset to default in Settings → Home immediately restores the health-card layout only. Daily gauges remain a separate web editor.

If the layout is not what you expect

For glucose-specific behavior, see Track blood glucose with meals and exercise. For movement timing, see Log exercise with a start time and duration.
