Subway calorie and nutrition calculator: build your sub

This Subway calorie and nutrition calculator adds the published US ingredient rows for your bread, protein, cheese, vegetables and sauces. Each nutrient total equals the ingredient value multiplied by its stated portion count. The footlong rule doubles only the groups Subway explicitly identifies; cheese, vegetables and seasonings retain their published 6-inch amounts, so a footlong total is a partial portion reference.

These are ingredient sums, not Subway’s published finished-sandwich totals. Portions and regional recipes vary. For a footlong, cheese, vegetables and seasonings stay at the published 6-inch quantity because Subway gives no doubling rule for those tables; the result does not claim a complete footlong portion.

How the calculation works

Total nutrient = Σ (published ingredient value × applicable portion multiplier). A 6-inch build uses one published portion. For a footlong, breads, proteins and sauces marked “double” use ×2; cheese, vegetables and seasonings use the published quantity, with the missing footlong amount disclosed. Single-size wraps and mini breads are never doubled. Subway explicitly doubles protein for the full wrap; sauces, cheese and vegetables retain their published wrap amounts.

Limits of the estimate

No nutrition row is published for Italian Herbs & Cheese bread, Cheddar bread or gluten-free bread in this chart, so they are omitted. Toasting has no separate published nutrition value and is described without an inert control. Vegetable rings, slices and strips mean the exact counts in the table, not an unlimited serving. Published “<1” values are carried as 0 in sums and remain labelled in the table and result notes.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Subway calculator handle a footlong?

Subway prints a doubling rule for breads, individual proteins and sandwich condiments. This calculator applies that rule only where it is published. Cheese, vegetables and seasonings retain the chart’s 6-inch quantities because their tables omit that instruction. The result flags this limitation instead of pretending to know the complete ingredient portions in a footlong sandwich.

Why can a Subway ingredient total differ from the sandwich menu?

Subway publishes both ingredient rows and finished-sandwich rows. The calculator sums the ingredients you select, while a finished-sandwich figure describes Subway’s own recipe assumptions. The chart does not identify every cheese, vegetable and sauce assumed in those sandwiches. Different combinations and rounding can therefore produce different totals without either row being a substitute for the other.

Where does the Subway calculator get its nutrition data?

The values come from Subway’s own published United States nutrition information, retrieved on September 7, 2026. This page identifies the chart revision or retrieval stamp and links to the primary source. Tables preserve the published values and portion descriptions; missing figures are never filled in with another chain’s numbers or an invented ingredient estimate.

Are the calories exact for my Subway order?

The calculator uses Subway’s reference values for standard United States recipes and portions. Actual serving quantity, preparation, ingredient supply and location can change the food you receive. The total helps explain the published order but does not measure the meal in front of you or replace individualized advice from a qualified health professional.

Does the calculator store my choices or require an account?

No account is needed to use this calculator. Form selections and nutrition arithmetic stay in your browser and are not sent or saved as meal records. Reloading the page resets the order. The reference tables remain available without interacting with the form, so every published row and its stated portion can also be read directly.
